Choice of Law and Venue Provisions

A party might request that the contract have a provision that the law of another state will apply to the contract or that any litigation must be brought in another state.  The University cannot agree to either type of provision.  If the other party does not agree to the application of Mississippi law or venue in Mississippi, just delete the provision entirely from the contract.  It is not necessary for a contract to have a choice of law or venue provision.
